I'm no Red Sox fan, not by a long shot. But something happened in the wake of them winning their 2 World Series in 89 years. Somehow, some way, the freakin New York Yankees took the spotlight away. On Tuesday, the morning after Boston won, they were the THIRD STORY on Sportscenter , behind 1) Alex Rodriguez opting out, and 2) Joe FREAKIN Girardi!. I couldn't believe it. Everyone knows that there is a New York sports bias in sports media, but ESPN went out of their way to rub it in every one's face this week. Don't get me wrong A-Rod leaving is newsworthy, Joe Torre being replaced is newsworthy, but the rebuilding of the Yankees is not above the World Series. Sometimes I wish Espn didn't have such a monopoly on television sports, because contrary to what they believe inside the Bristol Studios, not everyone likes the Yankees, in fact, some people (me) can't stand the Yankees.
BAH!
In other news, Happy Halloween.
